4th Grade Idaho History Tours: May 10-11-12, May 17-18-19, May 24- 4 hrs each day
Fourth graders come to the park for 2.5 hours on their prescheduled day. They start in the amphitheater where the theme is introduced. They will then rotate through 6 stations 15 min. each ending back at the amphitheater for the wrap up. Volunteers are needed to help run each station.
Age 14 and older are encouraged to volunteer. Volunteers will be working with station partners of different ages and backgrounds.
Park Mentors: Tues and Thursday 10-2:00, April- August
We are blessed with service missionaries who help with grounds and projects through the spring and summer. We want to help enhance their mission experience by partnering with local experts who mentor them in various facets of Park service, taking them beyond the tasks and into personal application of new skills.
Thursday Community Nights at the Park: Thursday nights in June and July- 4 hrs each night
Community members are invited to the park Thursday nights to participate in 4 different stations. Each station will incorporate different themes each week, including topics of history, naturalism, gardens, botany, science, cultures, arts, and historical living.
**Mandatory volunteer training meeting will take place late March, and mid April for full training in station historical and science facts, stories, and hands-on activities. You will be provided with station content and activities of which you will be teaching. **
A unique opportunity to give back to the community in a meaningful way. Ideal for ward organizations, school clubs, or families.
